Leeds United could be able to sign Nicolas Tagliafico for £17.5 million, according to The Sun.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Leeds have joined the race for the Ajax left-back, who has an agreement with his club that he can leave this summer.
The report has added that Ajax could sell the 28-year-old Argentina international left-back for £17.5 million.
The Mirror reported yesterday interest in Tagliafico from Leeds, adding that he is head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s ‘ideal signing’ for a left-back.
Good signing for Leeds United?
Tagliafico is a very experienced left-back who would make Leeds a better team.
The 28-year-old is a regular in the Argentina team, and given that he is at the top of his game, he is likely to hit the ground running at Leeds.
While Stuart Dallas and Ezgjan Alioski have done well at left-back, both of them are wingers by trade, and the latter is actually out of contract at Leeds at the end of the season.
According to WhoScored, Tagliafico has scored one goal and provided two assists in 22 Eredivisie game this season, and he also played six times in the Champions League and five times in the Europa League.
