Gary Stevens told Stadium Astro that only four players have ‘consistently delivered’ for Tottenham this season.

The former Spurs defender named the obvious Harry Kane, his partner in crime, Heung-Min Son, summer signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and a potential surprise in Hugo Lloris.

There have been moments, once again, this season where Lloris’ performances for Tottenham have been questioned, Brighton and Manchester City are examples.

But Stevens thinks, over the course of the campaign, he has produced, alongside Harry Kane.

“Who has delivered for Spurs this season, consistently,” asked Stevens. “Harry Kane, yes. I would say, Son, yes.

“I think Lloris has got back to his close best across the bulk of the season. I think Hojbjerg has been a great signing for them.

“Then it starts to fall away for me. So, I have just named you four players, who I think across the season have delivered consistently.

“You play with 11! So, that means that close to 70% of your team haven’t consistently delivered. No wonder Spurs aren’t in the European places, so yes, of course, players have a responsibility and players have to perform. But it’s a combination.”

Joe Rodon perhaps deserves a mention for his performances, because given that he is a youngster playing in a leaky defence and one that continues to be changed, he has started off well.

Another summer signing in Sergio Reguilon has been another positive even though his performances have dipped of late.

Whilst Tanguy Ndombele is another favourite in the middle of the park, although it’s a case of more consistency is needed from the Frenchman.
