According to Eurosport Norway, Johan Johannesen Bakke wants to follow in his father’s footsteps and join Leeds one day.

Bakke – son of former Leeds man Eirik Bakke – has just signed a professional contract with Norwegian outfit Sogndal IL II.

Eurosport Norway claim that it’s the 17-year-old’s dream to play aboard, especially for Leeds, who he holds in high regard.

His father made 188 appearances for the Whites, scoring 16 goals while also picking up 27 caps for Norway across his career.

Interestingly, Eurosport Norway describe the teenager as a player who is ‘calm’ on the ball, and has a ‘good shot’ in his locker.

They also state that Bakke possesses ‘special skills’ and has a ‘good passing’ range – he is also described as a ‘team player’.

Seeing as the teenager is a midfielder, all of these traits sound like handy ones to have for his role on the pitch.

Bakke has only just signed his first professional contract, so don’t expect to see him at Elland Road anytime soon.

However, it’s definitely worth Leeds keeping an eye on his progress.

Should he blossom into a brilliant player, then it sounds like Leeds won’t have to do much work to convince him to join, based on his comments.
