Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter in panicked fashion after CBS Sports journalist James Benge posted a worrying statistic about Slavia Prague.
Since the start of the 2019-20 season Slavia Prague have lost just three games at home. The only teams to have beaten them are: Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan.— James Benge (@jamesbenge) April 14, 2021
Benge reveals that the Czech Republicans have lost just three games at home since the start of the 2019/20 campaign.
Even more worryingly, those defeats have only come against footballing giants such as Barcelona, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
Slavia Prague are, clearly, formidable opponents on their own turf.
Arsenal fans have every right to be concerned by this statistic.
Mikel Arteta’s men don’t necessarily need to win, as a 2-2 draw would take them through on away goals.
However, the Gunners simply must score at least once tonight, or they will crash out of Europe.
If things stay the same, Slavia Prague’s last-gasp goal at the Emirates Stadium will take them through on away goals.
It really is crunch time for the north Londoners.
Arsenal need to win the Europa League to ensure this season ends in something other than complete failure.
The Gunners are languishing in ninth, and simply have no other route to the Champions League this term unless they win this competition.
Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Slavia Prague’s exquisite home form…
Really worried about a 0-0 especially given we only scored in the 86th minute in the home leg— Ivan Novikov (@Ivan_Novikov_) April 14, 2021

I don’t like this stat at all. Please Arsenal, just take your chances.— Nandos Whole Chicken (@Clive30547684) April 14, 2021
