Fans speculate spoilers for GMA interview

As the interview hints at something shocking, many speculated if Colton will come out as gay. Colton’s sexuality has been a topic of discussion ever since he appeared on the show. Even though Colton has denied being gay, the discussion continues.

In an interview with People, Colton revealed the gay rumor started when he was in High School. He said: “It was one of those things where you hear something so often, you start believing it. I thought, maybe I am gay. The captain of the football team should be having sex and drinking, right? But I wasn’t.”

Colton further admitted that he would often search “Am I gay” on the internet. He said: “I didn’t know who I was. And I come from an athletic family, so it was always, ‘Move on, you’re good.’ So that threw me off. In high school, when I was struggling with my sexuality, I’m not going to talk to my parents about it. So I internalized it.”

Even though the rumors continued to follow him when he entered the Bachelor’s house, Colton admitted the show helped him understand that he was straight.
