Speaking on The Athletic’s YouTube channel, David Ornstein has shared what sources have told him about Harry Kane’s desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur.
It was reported over the weekend that the striker is keen to move away from Tottenham, but now Ornstein says that some sources have told him that he’s in fact desperate to go.
There’s a big difference between being open to a move and being desperate to leave, so this is a big bombshell for Spurs.
“Some of those people have described Kane’s desire to me as ‘desperate to leave’. Now, I don’t want people to take that out of context, it’s not that he’s deeply distraught to be at Tottenham. He loves the club and he’s a talismanic figure and I’m sure he would love nothing more than to fulfil his dream of winning trophies at Tottenham Hotspur,” Ornstein said.

Unfortunately, Tottenham just can’t provide what Kane wants anymore.
Spurs are in the Carabao Cup final, but they’re not competing for the biggest trophies in the game, and Kane is a player who is good enough to be challenging at the very top end of this sport.
As Ornstein says, it’s important to take this in context. There are no hard feelings between Kane and the club, and regardless of what happens, Spurs will certainly have a special place in his heart, but as he enters his prime, he has to start thinking about his legacy in terms of trophies.
