Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Vinicius Junior caught his eye last week, as his side were beaten by Real Madrid.
Speaking at his press conference before Liverpool’s clash with Real Madrid tomorrow, which was broadcast on the Reds’ Youtube channel, Klopp said that in the second-leg his side would try and limit the service into Vinicius.
The Brazilian caused havoc in Liverpool’s defence in the first tie between the pair, as he netted a brace.
And Klopp says that he has seen a big improvement in the 20-year-old’s game recently.
“I was impressed, not surprised,” Klopp said. “He is an outstanding talent. Everyone knew it before but he has improved. We have to avoid the passes in his direction which is a big task.”
Klopp’s public praise for Vinicius is particularly interesting, as he has been touted as a potential Liverpool target recently.

Diario Madridista said two months ago that Liverpool are still watching the £39 million winger (BBC Sport), as they eye up a summer move.
Vinicius’ goals in the first-leg may actually have made that transfer even harder to pull off.
But it seems that if a deal was possible then Klopp may well be interested, after his glowing praise of the youngster earlier today.
