Premier League trio Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace will send scouts to watch Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir tonight, according to Takvim.
Last week, the Birmingham Mail reported Villa boss Dean Smith is desperate to have two top-class shot-stoppers at his disposal next season.
And with the seldom-seen Tom Heaton considering a move away from the Midlands when his contract expires in July, expect Aston Villa to be in the market for a replacement.
Turkey international Bayindir, then, could be a man in high demand when the transfer market springs into life.
According to Takvim, Villa, as well as Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Dutch giants Ajax, will be watching as Fenerbahce take on Gaziantep in tonight’s Super Lig clash.
Arguably the finest goalkeeper in the division, £12 million-rated Bayindir has started all-but one of Fener’s 32 league matches this season, keeping ten clean sheets.

It’s no secret Crystal Palace are looking to inject youth into one of the Premier League’s oldest squads. And, should they win the race for Bayindir’s signature, the 22-year-old Turk would be expected to replace the departing Wayne Hennessey at Selhurst Park.
Newcastle, meanwhile, may also be forced into the market for a new glovesman with Karl Darlow’s future uncertain.
Despite a string of heroic performances earlier in the campaign, Darlow has lost his place to Martin Dubravka. And that unforgiving dumping hasn’t gone down well with the one-time Nottingham Forest youngster (Athletic).
