It looks like Georginio Wijnaldum will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
The Dutch international is out of contract this summer, and the Reds have so far been unable to agree new terms with him.
If Wijnaldum does go, Liverpool will need to find a replacement in midfield – and one of his compatriots has been linked.
Mundo Deportivo report that Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of AZ Alkmaar ace Teun Koopmeiners, and wants him as Wijnaldum’s successor.
This seems odd; Koopmeiners is a superb player, but he is more of a playmaking holding midfielder rather than an energetic, box-to-box player like Wijnaldum.
Koopmeiners is a fine leader and has found the net 17 times this season, with his left foot causing mayhem in the Eredivisie this term.

At 23, Koopmeiners is now ready for the next step in his career, but Liverpool fans seem a little split on the idea of him coming in this summer.
Some believe that Koopmeiners is the type of player Liverpool need, offering cover for Fabinho whilst coming at a bargain price.
Others think that Koopmeiners is too slow and wouldn’t quite fit into Klopp’s style despite the links with a move to Anfield.
