Lingard has been superb for West Ham since he joined the London club on loan and even earned a recall to the England squad for their recent international games.
According to WhoScored, the 28-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has scored six goals and provided three assists in eight Premier League games for the Hammers so far this campaign.
Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho worked with Lingard when he was at United, and the Portuguese knows the Englishman fully well.
Given how well Lingard is doing at West Ham, United could well decide to keep him in the squad next season.
