Mohamed Salah has incurred the wrath of Liverpool team-mates Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, according to a report from Spain.
According to El Pais, Mane and Firmino are two of the Liverpool players who ‘lead the faction’ of stars in believing that their colleague is ‘privileged’.
The report adds that the Reds duo believe that Salah does not do as much off-the-ball work as other players in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
It has been reported before that Mane, in particular, has been annoyed with Salah in the past for a perceived selfishness in the Egypt international’s forward play.
Liverpool are famed for their off-the-ball pressing under the German manager but that feature of the team has been inconsistent for much of a calendar year that has seen the Merseysiders struggle in a major way, especially in the Premier League.
They’re seventh in the table and considering they began the campaign as champions, that ought to illustrate their woes.
But it must be said that a crisis of centre-back options is probably a bigger factor in their form than whether or not Salah puts in as much of a shift as his team-mates.
