TalkSport have claimed that Walcott is likely to leave Goodison Park this summer, for Southampton, after impressing their manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl.

It was an emotional return to St Mary’s for Walcott last summer because that’s where it all started for the one-time teenage wonderkid.

Injuries have hit the former England international this season, but it seems as though he has done enough to turn that loan into a permanent one.

Ever since his £20 million move from Arsenal in 2018 (BBC Sport), it just hasn’t worked out for the versatile forward, who has struck two goals this season, including one against his former club.
