Fabinho has been left blown away by reported Liverpool target Vinicius Junior, after his side’s clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday evening.

Liverpool were beaten 3-1 by Madrid in midweek, and Fabinho was spotted chatting to Madrid president Florentina Perez in the tunnel after the game.

Marca now say that Fabinho was overheard praising the winger, who tormented Jurgen Klopp’s side all night.

“With us you played as a right-back,” Perez is quoted as saying, by the Spanish outlet.

With Fabinho said to have responded: ”Yes, but to play right-back now… What a player you have in Vinicius.”

Fabinho wouldn’t have been the only Liverpool man left impressed by Vinicius’ displays.

The youngster caused Trent Alexander-Arnold all sorts of problems with his speed and dribbling ability, and he took both his goals well.

Vinicius’ display actually only adds intrigue into the claims that Liverpool are looking to sign him in the summer.

Diario Madridista said two months ago that Liverpool are still watching the £39 million winger (BBC Sport), as they eye up a summer move.

Vinicius had previously endured a fairly difficult season with Madrid.

But his showing on Tuesday really highlighted his potential, and may have made any potential move to Anfield even more unlikely.
