Leeds fans have taken to Twitter after watching a seven second video of Joe Gelhardt in training at Thorp Arch, and it’s safe to say they’re impressed.

The footage in question shows the 18-year-old receive a pass in the middle of the pitch, before flicking it up into the air with his first touch.

Then, the Leeds wonderkid swivels and unleashes a phenomenal volley towards goal, which looks to be flying into the top-left corner.

Sadly, the ball crashes back off the crossbar and into the sky, such was the power of the strike.

One of Gelhardt’s teammates at the bottom of the blurry picture – possibly Patrick Bamford – puts his hands to his head in disbelief at what he’s just seen.

When watching the footage for the first time, we had a similar reaction!

It takes an awful lot of confidence for anyone to do such an audacious thing in a Premier League training session, let alone a teenager.

Surely, it’s only a matter of time until Gelhardt is handed his Premier League debut by Marcelo Bielsa.

In 15 Premier League 2 appearances this season, the Liverpool-born striker has scored an impressive 11 goals, while also recording three assists.

He really is a massive prospect who Leeds are lucky to have.
