According to a report by Goal, West Ham United are interested in signing Jordan Larsson from Spartak Moscow.

Unfortunately for the Hammers, they’re not the only club keen on the Swedish forward.

Indeed, Borussia Dortmund are also reportedly keen on the forward as they look to bring in another Scandanavian forward with Erling Haaland looking likely to leave in the summer.

Larsson is of course the son of Celtic legend Henrik Larsson, and if he turns out to be half as good as his father, then West Ham will have a real player on their hands here.

The forward has netted 12 league goals this term in the Russian League, and with the Hammers needing a new number nine to replace Sebastien Haller, Larsson could be the answer to David Moyes’ prayers.

The fact that Dortmund are also interested in signing him tells you all you need to know about how good he is. The Bundesliga giants have had a real eye for talent when it comes to strikers in recent years, with the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and of course Haaland turning out for the German outfit in recent years.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Hammers can get this one over the line.
