The time has come for this year’s British Academy Film Awards, which takes place across Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th April 2021 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
This 74th edition is set to celebrate a wealth of exciting and acclaimed films from the past year. Nomadland and Rocks received the most nominations and are both up for seven awards across the evening.
However, there is plenty more where that came from, with such efforts as The Trial of the Chicago 7, The Father, Promising Young Woman, Minari and more up for numerous awards.
If you’re familiar with the nominations, you may have spotted that Ashley Madekwe is nominated for her portrayal of Toni in County Lines.

If you’re in no hurry and can wait until after the BAFTAs ceremony, then it’s also worth noting that the DVD and Blu-ray (courtesy of BFI) is available for pre-order on Amazon for £15.99.
County Lines is adapted from Henry Blake’s 2017 short film of the same name and serves as the filmmaker’s directorial feature debut. It chronicles 14-year-old Tyler (played by Conrad Khan), a schoolboy in east London who becomes entangled in the crimes of county lines drug dealers; he is groomed to transport drugs from cities to rural areas.
