Rio Ferdinand said on BT Sport 1 (10:01pm, April 4, 2021) that Liverpool will finish in the Premier League top four.
The former Manchester United defender believes that Fabinho playing in midfield once again is a big difference and will help Liverpool in their quest to finish in the Champions League places.
Just moments earlier in the show, Ferdinand raised doubts on Liverpool ending up in the top four, but the Englishman then quickly changed his mind.
Ferdinand said on BT Sport 1 (10:01pm, April 4, 2021): “Do you know what? I want to change. I think Liverpool will get in there now, you know.
“I think the result at the weekend and the performance, the confidence that will give that team, and Fabinho back in central midfield is a huge, huge, huge difference.”

Liverpool in top four?
Liverpool were brilliant in their win against Arsenal at the weekend. Fabinho, who has played in central defence for much of the season due to injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez, was deployed in midfield alongside Thiago.
The Brazil international defensive midfielder was at his best against the Gunners, with former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville raving about him.
Liverpool are starting to play well again and are becoming more consistent, and given the quality of players they have, the fans should be optimistic about a top-four finish.
