Some West Brom fans on social media have been full of praise for Matt Phillips after their 5-2 win against Chelsea.
The Baggies had an afternoon to remember against Chelsea, and to be honest, there were 11 players on the pitch who deserved all the praise in the world from the fans.
However, one man who was the centre of attention in the eyes of a number of supporters was Phillips.
The Scotland international constantly had the beating of Marcos Alonson down that wing, and while he didn’t get his name on the scoresheet, he was imperative to Albion’s performance.
It’s great to see Phillips bouncing back after a difficult season so far, but a few more performances like this could see the Midlands club have an outside chance of escaping the drop zone.
Fingers crossed he, and the rest of the team, can keep this up.
