Alan Shearer has said on Amazon Prime (5:09pm, April 3, 2021) that he was very impressed by Leeds United winger Raphinha against Sheffield United at Elland Road.

The former Newcastle United and England international striker has said that Raphinha was very good on the ball, adding that the Leeds star was brilliant in helping out his team defensively.

Shearer has also praised Leeds winger Jack Harrison for his performance in the 2-1 win for the Whites against the Blades.

Shearer said on Amazon Prime (5:09pm, April 3, 2021): “He is very good on the ball. What impressed me also was his work rate, his ability to get back and help out, do his bit defensively as well. Yeah, he had a very, very good game, as did Harrison on the other side.”

How did Raphinha play against Sheffield United?

Raphinha is one of the best players for Leeds and has been superb for Marcelo Bielsa’s side so far this season.

The 24-year-old winger had yet another good game against the Blades and played his role in the win in the Yorkshire derby.

The Brazilian provided the assist for the first goal for Leeds and was a problem for the Blades’ defenders throughout.

As he usually does, Raphinha worked hard for the team, helped out his team defensively, and was available as an option for his teammates.

According to WhoScored, the winger took three shots and none was on target, played four key passes, had a pass accuracy of 63.8%, won one header, took 81 touches, attempted six dribbles, made two interceptions and three clearances, and put in four crosses.
