Leeds United attacker Rodrigo was a big-money capture last summer, but he has yet to really shine consistently for the Whites.
The Spaniard was snapped up from Valencia in a deal worth around £27million in August, representing a massive outlay for Leeds following their promotion.
Patrick Bamford’s superb form this season means Rodrigo hasn’t been able to feature prominently as a striker, and he has subsequently been utilised as more of a number 10.
In 20 Premier League outings, Rodrigo has notched three goals and one assist, but injuries have been a source of frustration for him in 2021, missing more than a month of action.
Fichajes isn’t a particularly reliable source in Spain at all, but they now claim that Rodrigo wants to leave Leeds already and fancies a move back to La Liga.
Some teams are thought to be keen on signing Rodrigo, but the 30-year-old has now posted a defiant response to the rumours about his future.
Rodrigo has posted a passionate message, claiming the stories of him wanting an exit are ‘nonsense’ and ‘false, denying any ill feeling towards Marcelo Bielsa by stating his feelings are the complete opposite.

Rodrigo added that he is happy and loves being at Leeds, and is only focusing on a great end to the season rather than a summer move away from Elland Road.
“I’m not a person to comment on nonsense stories, however in this case I want to make it clear that stories about me wanting to leave Leeds and a bad relationship with Marcelo are false,” said Rodrigo. “I am very sorry that some people try to misinform our fans – my feelings are the opposite.”
“I am happy, focused and working hard to help with my teammates to end this great season in the best possible way. I love being at Leeds United, I respect my coach and I identify with this Club! Come on Leeds MOT,” he added.
