Evan N’Dicka should turn down a move to Arsenal and stay at Bundesliga high-flyers Eintracht Frankfurt during the summer transfer window, sporting director Bruno Hubner told BILD.
Just in case you were wondering, the Frankfurt chief has a few points to back up his claims.
Hubner certainly makes quite an intriguing argument.
With Adi Hutter’s side sitting fourth in the standings, four points clear of Saturday’s opponents Borussia Dortmund, there is a very good chance that The Eagles will be gracing the Champions League for the first time in their history next season.
The same cannot be said of Arsenal; stuck in mid-table after another underwhelming campaign, behind West Ham, Everton and bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
1-0 Frankfurt. But Hubner is not finished there.
The sporting director added that, if N’Dicka opts to stay put at the Commerzbank Arena, he will be remunerated rather healthily too. A new, improved contract is expected to come his way before long.
Whether Hubner has succeeded in twisting the Frenchman’s arm… he will have to wait until the transfer window opens to find out.
“He’s a clever boy, and I think he can assess what kind of unity he has. He has a regular starting place with us. Here, he enjoys the trust of the coach. And his contract would also be well paid,” Hubner said.

“Evan is still very young. Frankfurt is his first stop. He still has time to develop. Preferably in the Champions League.
“(Qualifying for the UCL) would be extremely important for the status of the club. Eintracht would automatically be a Champions League club – that stays in people’s minds and would also help Eintracht enormously in the years to come.”
BILD backs up claims from the Express, reporting that Arsenal are keen to bring N’Dicka to the Emirates this summer.
The Gunners are understood to have held talks with the 21-year-old’s agent ahead of a potential £19 million move.
