Liverpool are ‘absolutely convinced’ that Mohamed Salah will be at Anfield next season, Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Bench Warmers.

Salah has been linked with a move away from Liverpool this term, with some suggesting that the winger would be keen on a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

There has even been claims that Salah could be sold to fund a big money move for Kylian Mbappe.

However, Romano has played down those rumours and says that Liverpool are planning to have Salah at Anfield again next term.

The Reds are said to be convinced that they can keep their top goalscorer, which will surely be a relief to many on Merseyside.

Despite Liverpool’s struggles this term, Salah has continued to prove a major threat in front of goal, with Jamie Carragher recently calling him ‘unbelievable’ on CBS.

And Romano appears to feel that this summer may not be one of great change for Liverpool.

The transfer insider says that the Reds haven’t made contact with Mbappe, which pours cold water on recent reports which have linked the superstar with Anfield.

And he also says that Liverpool’s board have no worries about Jurgen Klopp leaving.

Overall, the update seems a largely positive one for Liverpool supporters.

While Reds followers may be slightly disappointed by the news that any deal for Mbappe is a long way off, that always seemed an unlikely transfer.

And keeping key players at Anfield is likely to be Liverpool’s top priority this summer, especially if they miss out on a Champions League slot.
