Many Arsenal fans don’t exactly appear enthralled by rumours that the club are looking to sign Nabil Fekir from Real Betis.
Goal.com claim that Arsenal are interested in Fekir, and could move for him if they are unable to land Martin Odegaard.
The 27-year-old has a good pedigree, but has struggled with injury in recent times.
And some Arsenal fans think that they would be making an error by signing him.
Purely on paper, Fekir does look as if he could be an appealing signing for Arsenal – given his obvious quality and experience.
But Gunners’ supporters reticence over the latest reports is also understandable.
Arsenal have made some questionable transfer decisions with older players recently and while Fekir is hardly past it at 27, his resale value would be low.
Arsenal have such a young and vibrant team, that the last thing they need is to sign a player on the decline.
And it may be that Arsenal would be better off looking elsewhere, rather than targeting the French international this summer.
