According to SPORT, Arsenal are lining up a move for Paulo Dybala in case they’re unable to sign Martin Ødegaard on a permanent basis.

The Spanish news outlet claim that Dybala’s days at Juventus are numbered, and Arsenal would be more than happy to have him.

SPORT add that everything indicates the 29-cap Argentina international will leave Turin this summer.

As SPORT mention, Arsenal are delighted with Ødegaard and would love to have him remain in north London.

However, as things stand, the plan is for the 26-cap Norway international to return to Real Madrid once the current campaign is over.

Should that be the case, Arsenal will turn to Dybala, who has been on their radar ever since the Arsène Wenger days.

Back in 2015, Gianluca Di Marzio revealed that Arsenal were meeting with Palermo owner and chairman Maurizio Zamparini to discuss a deal for the South American.

However, nothing materialised, and Dybala eventually joined Juventus in a deal worth €32 million (£27.4 million).

The Juventus No.10 has struggled this season with just three goals in 16 appearances.

However, there’s no denying that he is a quality player, and one who would enrich almost every team in the Premier League.

If Ødegaard can’t be signed permanently, this certainly wouldn’t be a bad plan B for Mikel Arteta.
