Jose Enrique has urged Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on Instagram to bring back Luis Suarez to Anfield.

The former Liverpool star believes that bringing Suarez back to Anfield is a “no brainer”, adding that the Uruguayan striker is the best player he ever played with.

Fichajes.net reported this week that Liverpool are considering a move for Atletico Madrid striker Suarez in the summer of 2021.

Luis Suarez to Liverpool?

Suarez was a huge success during his time at Liverpool from 2011 until 2014 and almost won the title in 2013-14.

The Uruguay international striker won the La Liga title four times and the Champions League once with Barcelona and moved to Atletico in the summer of 2020 on a two-year contract, as reported by BBC Sport.

The 34-year-old has been brilliant for Diego Simeone’s side so far this season, scoring 19 goals and providing two assists in La Liga, according to WhoScored.

However, Suarez is in his mid-30s now, and he would be a short-term signing for Liverpool, something that the Reds may not be inclined to go for.

Moreover, the Reds play a different way under manager Jurgen Klopp than Suarez did under Brendan Rodgers.

As reported by BBC Sport, Liverpool sold Suarez to Barcelona in the summer of 2014 for £75 million when Rodgers – now the manager of Leicester City – was in charge of the Reds.
