Who is Ali Tabrizi?
Ali Tabrizi is a documentary and filmmaker who grew up in the Southeast of England.
His passion for cameras started at a young age, and later lead him to become interested in photojournalism.
After being accepted into London College of Communication to study photojournalism, he turned down the offer to teach himself the art of filmmaking.
He went on to work alongside film director Kip Andersen in the 2014 environmental documentary Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret.
Two years later, he joined Netflix as a documentary filmmaker and released his first film Vegan 2018.
The film reflected his own life as a vegan, with the documentary maker having previously shared his veganism on his Instagram.
Seaspiracy on Netflix
In Ali Tabrizi’s latest documentary, Seaspiracy, he explores the impact humans have had on marine life.
In the film, he worked alongside fellow documentary maker Kip Andersen and his wife Lucy Tabrizi.
Seaspiracy was released on 24 March 2021 and is now available to watch on Netflix.
Amid its debut, the filmmaker took to his 13,200 followers to talk of the documentary’s important message.
He wrote: “MY DOCUMENTARY @SEASPIRACY IS NOW ON NETFLIX! I’m so excited to share this with you and bring so many important issues to light.
“With ocean ecosystems on the verge of collapse, and the human implications that follow, we must ask ourselves what kind of world we wish to live in.
