Serie A giants Juventus are determined to bring some of the most exciting young talent in Europe to Turin with Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto one of the names on their wish-list, as reported by Tuttosport.

Gone are the days of the big-name veteran at Juve.

Since the start of 2020, Mario Mandzukic, Blaise Matuidi, Gonzalo Higuain and Sami Khedira have had their contracts torn up as the reigning Serie A champions turn their focus from proven big-hitters to rising stars.

Dejan Kulusevski, Matthijs de Ligt, Weston McKennie, Merih Demiral and Federico Chiesa have all moved to Turin in recent times and, according to Tuttosport, plans are already being drawn up with the summer transfer window just a few months away.

Ajax duo Ryan Gravenberch and Devyne Rensch have been lined up to follow in De Ligt’s footsteps, while Nuno Mendes and Manuel Locatelli could also be on their way to the Allianz Stadium.

You would imagine, however, that Portugal international Neto would be the most expensive of the lot.

Wolves paid £18 million to sign the winger in 2019 when he had just eight first-team appearances under his belt. How much would Neto be worth now after establishing himself as one of the most exciting and creative attackers in the whole of the Premier League?

Tuttosport claims Neto was ‘close’ to joining Juventus last summer and remains a target for chief financial officer Fabio Paratici. And, worryingly, the forward’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has an excellent relationship with the Juve bosses.

But, with another four years on his contract, Wolves will be under no pressure to sell their prized asset any time soon.
