Netflix’s latest Korean drama, Navillera, made its debut this week. Having been well received, fans are wondering who the cast is for the hit series.
Navillera premiered this week on Netflix on Monday, 22nd March 2021. The Korean drama is based on a webtoon by the same name by Hun and Ji-Min. The writer for the show is Lee Eun-Mi. The series hasn’t even been out a week and already ranks 9/10 on IMDB, setting the bar high for drama’s to follow this year.
The story follows Shim Deok-chul, an old man who follows his dream of doing ballet at the age of 70. He meets a younger Ballerino called Lee Chae-rok, who almost gives up on his dream until the two meet and change one another’s lives.

Park In-hwan as Shim Deok-chul
Park In-hwan is a South Korean actor born in Cheongju, North Chungcheong, on 6th January 1945. There is not much known about his private life, here is what we could find. He is married with three children. A son and two daughters. He graduated from Chung-Ang University, where he studied Theatre and film.
The 76-year old actor has worked in TV, Film and Theatre throughout his career and has won multiple awards for Best Actor, as well as Excellence Awards.
His acting career dates back to 1965, where he appeared in a TV series titled ‘The Long Voyage Home’. He is also well known for his appearances in ‘Lucid Dream’ (2017), ‘A Love to Kill’ (2005) and ‘Thirst’ (2009). For this year he is credited for his role in Navillera as the lead character, Shim Deok-chul and is set to appear in ‘Unexpected Love‘, though a release date has not been confirmed for this. There is no known social media account for him on Twitter or Instagram.
Song Kang as Lee Chae-rok
Song Kang is a South Korean actor, born in Suwon on 23rd April 1994. He has one sibling, a younger brother. His parents were also talented. His mother played the piano and his father did gymnastics.
Kang attended Changhyun High School and later Konkuk University, where he graduated from the Department of Film Arts. He has been active in his acting career from as early as 2017, where he first made his debut in a TV series titled ‘The Liar and His Lover’.
He is well known for his roles in ‘Love alarm’ (2019-2021) and ‘Sweet Home’ (2020). He has not yet been listed for any upcoming roles this year, aside from his appearance in Navillera, where he will appear in a leading role as Lee Chae-Rok. However, should Love Alarm renew for season 3, it is expected he will reprise his role in the series, though this has not yet been confirmed. You can follow him on his official Instagram account.
Hong Seung-hee as Shim Eun-ho
Hong Seung-hee is a South Korean actress born on 19th August 1997. There is not much known about her as she keeps her life private. Here is what we do know. She is managed by C-JeS Entertainment and her star sign is Leo.
She has been active in her acting career since 2018 where she appeared in ‘Just Dance’. Hong is well known for her appearances in ‘Leverage’ (2019), ‘Kiss Scene in Yeonnamdong’ (2019) and ‘Memorist’ (2020).
For this year she has featured in Navillera as Shim Eun-Ho and will also appear in ‘Move to Heaven’, which will come out this year but the date has not yet been announced. She does not have any known social media accounts.
Kim Kwon as Yang Ho-beom
Kim Keon-woo, better known as Kim Kwon, is a South Korean actor, born on 16th May 1989. Not much is known apart from his personal life but here is what we were able to find. He graduated from Dongguk University in the Department of Theatre. He is represented by 1n1 Stars and his star sign is Taurus. Kim is 183cm tall and weighs 68kg.
He has been active in his acting career since 2011, where he first appeared in ‘Me Too, Flower!’. In 2018, he won the KBS Drama Awards category for Best New Actor, due to his appearance in ‘Marry Me Now’ (2018).
He is well known for his appearances in ‘Marry Me Now’ (2018), ‘ He Is Psychometric’ (2019) and ‘Leverage’ (2019). He has no known upcoming roles for this year, aside from his appearance in Navillera, where he will play a supporting role as Chae-rok’s rival. You can follow him on his official Instagram account.
