According to TEAMtalk, Celtic are still planning to move for Motherwell defender Declan Gallagher despite not having a manager in place.
Neil Lennon resigned as Celtic manager last month, and the Bhoys have yet to find a replacement for the Northern Irishman.
They still want to be active in the transfer market though, and still want to sign Gallagher on a free transfer this summer.
Burnley, Sheffield United, West Bromwich Albion, Aberdeen, Hearts, Dundee United, Cardiff City and Barnsley are all interested in Gallagher, but it’s Celtic who seem to be favourites.
Their interest has ‘turned Gallagher’s head’, with the Scotland international seemingly desperate for a move to Parkhead this summer.
The 30-year-old did start his career with Celtic but was let go in 2011, meaning a return 10 years later would be quite the comeback for the defender.

Gallagher may not be a flashy signing, but he’s an experienced head and a huge presence at 6ft 6in tall, meaning he could be Shane Duffy’s replacement at Parkhead.
On a free transfer, Gallagher won’t break the bank for Celtic, and would give the new manager – whoever it may be – another proven Scottish Premiership performer.
