Renato Tapia may not be a name too familiar to some Premier League fans, but he is starring over in Spain.
Formerly of Feyenoord, the midfielder joined Celta Vigo on a free transfer last summer and hasn’t looked back.
The Peruvian has excelled for Celta, to the point where AS claim that Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are looking to sign him.
Tapia is now being decribed as ‘the clone of Casemiro’, having been compared favourably to the current Real Madrid star.
Tapia has spoken to AS about himself, and has opened up on how he could have made a move to England earlier in his career.
The 25-year-old has noted that he headed over to Europe way back in 2013, and he had trials with both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

However, Liverpool rejected Tapia because he was too small to play as a a centre back, believing that even though he was young, he wouldn’t grow enough.
Tapia now stands at 6ft tall, which isn’t the tallest frame for a centre back, but he has been an imposing midfielder; maybe we could still see him in the Premier League one day.
