According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund are now open to selling Julian Brandt this summer, amid interest from Arsenal in January.
The German news outlet claim that the 35-cap Germany international could leave if Mikel Arteta’s side put ‘at least’ €25 million (£21.5 million) on the table.
It was The Athletic‘s David Ornstein who said Arsenal were interested in Brandt back in January, so Bild‘s news should pique their interest.
Bild claim that there was already somewhat of a ‘separation’ in January between Brandt and Dortmund, but no side submitted a suitable offer for the 24-year-old.
They add that Brandt is in a ‘deep career crisis’ having scored just three goals in 35 games this season.

Bild also state that Dortmund were expecting more from the Bremen-born maestro, and are now thinking about selling him.
If Arsenal are still interested, there’s a potential bargain to be had here.
Dortmund paid €25 million (£21.5 million) to sign Brandt in May 2019, and he’s only gained more top-level experience since then despite his current struggles.

He’s also been likened to Mesut Özil by Eurosport, who cite the pair’s technical creativity and tendency to assist teammates as comparable traits.
In our view, if Arsenal can’t land Martin Ødegaard permanently, Brandt wouldn’t be a bad backup option, to say the least.
