Peter Crouch said on BT Sport 1 (8:30pm, March 18, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris played well last night.

Tottenham suffered a 3-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb away from home in the second leg of their Europa League Round of 16 tie on Thursday evening.

The result meant that Spurs were knocked out of the competition 3-2 on aggregate, having won the first leg 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Former Spurs striker Crouch believes that French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris played well in the game.

Crouch said about Lloris on BT Sport 1 (8:30pm, March 18, 2021): “The keeper played well, made a couple of good saves.”

How did Hugo Lloris play for Tottenham Hotspur?

Lloris could not have done anything about the first two goals, but the Frenchman should have done better for the third that he conceded on Thursday evening.

However, the former Lyon star also made two brilliant saves, and overall his performance was good.

Bouncing back

There is a lot of doom and gloom around Spurs at the moment, and while that is understandable, one must remember that there is still a lot to play for.

Tottenham will feature in the final of the EFL Cup this season, and Jose Mourinho’s side are very much in the running for the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season.
