Bild journalist Christian Falk has claimed on Twitter that Jesse Marsch has told Celtic that he will not be available to take charge of the Hoops.
The well-known journalist has stated that Marsch has told the Celtic board that interest in him from the Scottish giants is an honour.
However, according to Falk, the RB Salzburg manager will not leave his club and move to Celtic.
According to BBC Sport, some ex-players have suggested Marsch as a possible candidate for the Celtic managerial role.
The Hoops are on the hunt for a new permanent manager following the departure of Neil Lennon in February.
John Kennedy is in charge of the first team until the end of the season.
Big job
Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and whoever becomes the new manager of the Hoops will have a big job on their hands.

Rangers have just won the Scottish Premiership title and appear to have the better squad.
The Hoops could do with some big changes in the squad in the summer of 2021, and the new Celtic manager will be expected to reclaim the title from bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers.
