The result meant that Steven Gerrard’s side went out of the competition 3-1 on aggregate.
Former Rangers central defender and assistant manager Weir was impressed by the performance of 19-year-old right-back in the game at Ibrox.
Weir said about Patterson on BT Sport 3 (10:24pm, March 18, 2021): “He was outstanding. For a young player, you know, three or four games in his Rangers career, to perform like that on the big stage.”

Patterson is just starting his career, and the performances of the Scotland Under-21 international have been very encouraging.
The teenager did well for Rangers against Slavia on Thursday evening and showed what he is capable of.
The 19-year-old worked hard, defended strongly and tried to drive forward and was one of the better players for Rangers on the night.
According to WhoScored, Patterson took one shot which was not on target, had a pass accuracy of 65.5%, won one header, took 48 touches, attempted one dribble, and made one interception and five clearances.
