According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic officials admire Jesse Marsch ahead of a possible move to bring him to Parkhead.
Celtic are seeking a new manager following Neil Lennon’s resignation last month, and a number of names have been linked with the post.
On Wednesday, Red Bull Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch told BBC Sport that being touted for the Celtic job is an ‘honour’ for him.
Marsch noted that he wouldn’t have been considered for such a job just a few years ago, but being in the conversation now shows what a rise he has enjoyed.
Marsch would need to know if the Celtic project meshes with his ideas, but he at least seems somewhat interested in a move to Parkhead.
It’s now claimed that Celtic chiefs are keen admirers of Marsch, adding more fuel to the idea that the Bhoys could move for him this summer.

What’s particularly interesting is that Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell gave his personal backing to Marsch back in 2017 as he went on UEFA’s Pro-Licence course.
Lawwell is leaving Celtic this summer, but it’s clear that Marsch is a popular figure at Parkhead, and Lawwell may want to make Marsch his parting gift to Bhoys fans.
