Liverpool fans are starting to get very excited about Mateusz Musialowski – but he was somewhat overshadowed on Tuesday night.

The Polish winger joined from SMS Lodz in August 2020, and has already hit five goals and two assists in 15 Under-18 Premier League games.

With three goals in his last four games, the 17-year-old is earning rave reviews, and he played a key role in the 6-0 FA Youth Cup win over Sutton United’s Under-18’s last night.

Musialowski bagged a brace following Tyler Morton’s opener, but the exciting youngster was somewhat upstaged by Ethan Ennis.

Ennis only came on as a 64th minute substitute, but still managed to smash a stunning hat-trick to steal the show.

The 16-year-old attacker headed in his first, scored a predatory second and then a solo third, showing off a diverse set of attributes to grab his hat-trick.

Ennis hasn’t really been a name talked about very often when it comes to Liverpool’s top young prospects, but he has certainly put himself in the conversation with that treble last night.

Musialowski remains the star of the show for now, but he was upstaged last night by Ennis and his 22-minute hat-trick, giving Liverpool fans another teenager to get excited about for the future.
