According to Kicker, Werder Bremen defender Ludwig Augustinsson could head to England this summer after interest from Leeds United.
It’s claimed that Leeds were viewing Augustinsson as a potential signing for their promotion before the global pandemic hit.
That ultimately changed Leeds’ plans, and they focused on signings centre backs and attacking players instead of signing a left back.
Now though, Ezgjan Alioski could leave on a free transfer with his contract running down, and a new left back should again become a priority for the Whites.
Augustinsson may be an option, and the report states that he is dreaming of a move to England having had that move to Elland Road dangled in front of him last year.
The Swede is out of contract in 2021, and Bremen would be willing to discuss a seven-figure deal before he leaves for nothing.

Augustinsson is of a decent age at 26, with almost 300 league appearances to his name as well as 30 caps for Sweden, meaning he has plenty of experience as well as some room to kick on.
His endless work rate up the left flank would surely be very appealing to Marcelo Bielsa, and he may well be a name to keep an eye on as Leeds consider a new left back.
