Mikel Arteta wants Martin Odegaard at Arsenal again next season, the Daily Mail report.
Odegaard has caught the eye in his spell at Arsenal, after arriving in January.
The 22-year-old started his Gunners career slowly, but recently he has shown signs that he is starting to adapt to his new team.
Odegaard has scored important goals for Arsenal against Olympiacos and, most recently, Tottenham Hotspur.
And Arteta is said to be hugely impressed by what he has seen from the playmaker.
The Arsenal boss is now keen for the club to explore the possibility of doing a deal to bring Odegaard back for next season, and has apparently told Edu to pursue a deal.
Whether that will be on a permanent contract or as a loan signing again remains to be seen.
But the Daily Mirror do report that Real Madrid would be receptive to offers for the youngster.
Arteta has already labelled Odegaard as ‘phenomenal’ during his time at the club, when speaking to the club’s official website.
And if Arsenal were to snap him up, he would be another exciting youngster to add to a clutch of prospects breaking through at the Emirates Stadium.
