Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club posted photos of Callum Wilson back out on the grass at Darsley Park.

The 4-cap England international appears to be in light training, as none of his Magpies teammates can be seen in any of the photos.

However, it’s still a huge boost for Newcastle to have their talisman back running ahead of the crucial relegation run-in coming up.

Wilson is the club’s top scorer this term with ten goals in 21 Premier League appearances.

Without him, you could argue that Steve Bruce’s side would already be relegated.

Wilson hasn’t played since picking up an injury in the 3-2 win over Southampton on February 6th.

Since then, Newcastle are yet to win without their No.13, having drawn three and lost two of their five games since beating the Saints.

In weeks to come, Bruce’s men face winnable games against Brighton and Burnley, in which they’ll be praying Wilson can come up with the goods.

They will also be hoping he can do something miraculous against the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal and West Ham, who make up the next six games for Newcastle in addition to the aforementioned clashes.
