Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s decision to leave out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal will take on Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby this afternoon.

Aubameyang is one of the best strikers in the Premier League, and many would have expected him to start.

However, Arteta has left the Gabon international on the substitutes’ bench for this afternoon’s Premier League game.

The Spaniard has said that the 31-year-old striker has been left out of the starting lineup due to disciplinary reasons, as quoted on Football.London.

Former Tottenham striker Lineker has given his take on the decision on Twitter , as shown below.

Aubameyang has not exactly been in great form this season, but the striker is a big player for Arsenal.

According to WhoScored, Aubameyang has scored nine goals and provided one assist in the Premier League and has scored three goals in the Europa League for the Gunners so far this season.

It will be interesting to see what happens if the Gunners go behind and need a goal in the second half. Would Arteta being on the former Borussia Dortmund star?
