Speaking to ESPN FC on YouTube, Rangers attacker Kemar Roofe has given his view on Celtic giving the Gers a guard of honour this weekend.
It’s been a hotly-debated topic about whether or not Celtic will give their bitter rivals a guard of honour after they secured the league title last weekend, and as of right now, we still don’t know whether or not they’ll do it.
Roofe was asked about whether or not he expects to be clapped onto the pitch by the Celtic players, and he responded saying that he doesn’t actually care all that much about it.
“Erm. To be honest I haven’t put any thought into it just yet, and if I’m being honest I don’t care, I just want to win, I just want to play well and win,” Roofe said.
This is exactly what you want to hear ahead of an Old Firm Derby.

Would it be nice for Rangers fans to see their players clapped onto the pitch by their rivals? Of course it would, and it would give them bragging rights in Glasgow for years to come, but at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is winning the game.
If Rangers do or don’t get a guard of honour from Celtic is unimportant, what matters more than anything is the result on the day, and it seems as though Roofe realises that.
