Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation on the future of Chris Wilder at Sheffield United.
Speculation is rife today that Wilder is about to leave United, with the Blades in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
The Times has reported that Wilder is leaving the Blades and will hold talks with the club’s hierarchy over the terms of his exit today.
However, The Telegraph has claimed that the Englishman is still the manager of United, but the report has added that it is a fast-moving situation, and that things could change.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Everton striker Lineker has given his take on the situation, and has made it clear that he thinks that it would be a mistake if Wilder is no longer at Bramall Lane after today.
Big mistake from Sheffield United?
Wilder has transformed the Blades, who got promoted to the Premier League under him.

Things have not been great this season, and the likelihood is that the Blades will go down to the Championship.
Given that Wilder knows United and took them up from the second tier of English football, it would have been prudent to stick with him and give the team the best chance of clinching promotion back to the Premier League.
