Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Kiko Casilla posted a very cryptic message on his Instagram last night.
The man who Marcelo Bielsa signed from Real Madrid for £1.5 million posted a paragraph in Spanish, which The Square Ball translated on Twitter.
His very mysterious message can be seen below.
Now, has the 34-year-old just announced he’s leaving Elland Road?
In truth, that much remains to be seen.
However, would anyone be surprised if he was planning on leaving?
The Spaniard has fallen well behind Illan Meslier in Bielsa’s pecking order, and has made just three first-team appearances this season.
Casilla has one appearance in the Premier League, one in the FA Cup and one in the Carabao Cup this term – Leeds have lost all of those games.
The 1-cap Spain international also earns a fairly big salary, having arrived in Yorkshire from the filthy rich Real Madrid.
Spotrac state that Casilla earns £32,115-a-week, which is quite a lot for Leeds to be paying for a backup goalkeeper.
If he is leaving, freeing up those wages would be fantastic for the club, as it could enable Victor Orta to reinvest them into a new signing, in our view.
For now, we can only wait and see what comes of Casilla’s message.
Nevertheless, it’s still got plenty of Leeds fans talking on Twitter…
