Molly Holly made the jump to WWE in 2000 where she joined in the bitter rivalry between her cousins, the Holly’s, and the Dudley family.

After a romance with Spike Dudley, making them the Romeo and Juliet of the wrestling world, Molly Holly donned super hero attire and became Mighty Molly, joining forces with The Hurricane.

Molly Holly left WWE in 2005 but returned to take part in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match in 2018, as well as the 2020 edition of the over-the-top-rope melee.

WWE said in a statement: “After a legendary career, Molly Holly is more than deserving of induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.”

Molly Holly named first WWE Hall of Fame inductee 2021

On March 10th 2021, the official WWE Twitter account shared the exciting news that Molly Holly will be joining the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2021. They wrote:

“BREAKING NEWS: The first inductee in the @WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2021 will be #MollyHolly! In a beautiful, emotional moment on #WWETheBump, @ShaneHelmsCom delivered the #WWEHOF announcement to the former WWE Women’s Champion.”

WWE also posted the video where Shane Helms delivered the news to Molly Holly, who could barely contain her excitement.

The 2021 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Tuesday April 6th and will stream on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.

Molly Holly reacts to being first WWE Hall of Fame inductee 2021

After hearing the news that she will be taking her place in the WWE Hall of Fame, Molly Holly shared her excitement and gratitude. She said:

“Oh my gosh! That is awesome! Thank you, thank you so much, this is incredible.”

Friends and past team mates of Molly Holly’s shared their congratulations with the sports entertainment star. Trish Status tweeted:
