Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has told the club’s official Twitch channel that Joe Rodon has already improved a lot since joining the North London side.
When Rodon signed for Tottenham from Swansea City last summer, he was totally unproven at the top level.
Many Spurs fans had limited knowledge of the central defender, who had only really been a regular at Swansea for a year prior to his move.
However, Bale had linked up with the 23-year-old on international duty for Wales.
And Bale has spotted big progression in his Spurs teammate over the last few months.
He said: “I’ve already seen a difference. He’s improving a lot.”
Rodon also suggested that training with Tottenham’s players was only going to benefit him over the long-term, although spotting his own improvements is difficult.
“I think going up against top players is only going to improve me and make me better for the future,” the central defender added.

“I’ll never know until we go away with the national team and see a difference, as in the level of course.”
Despite his progression, Rodon still seems to have some work to do before becoming a key part of Mourinho’s plans.
The Tottenham boss has played him in some big games this season, but he has been rotated in and out of the side, and is yet to nail down a place in the Portuguese manager’s preferred starting line-up.
