Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to manager Jurgen Klopp’s response to Harrison Reed.

Liverpool suffered a 1-0 defeat to Fulham at Anfield in the Premier League at the weekend.

Mario Lemina’s goal on the stroke of half time proved to be the difference between the two sides on Sunday.

After the match, Fulham midfielder Reed said that he and his teammates wanted to win the game more than the Reds.

The Guardian quotes Reed as saying: “We wanted it more. That was evident on the pitch from the first whistle and it was a big factor in us getting the three points.”

Liverpool boss Klopp responded to the Fulham midfielder’s comments and said, as quoted in The Guardian: “The winner is always right. I don’t see that as a problem but my boys wanted to win football games. We just couldn’t do it. That is the problem.”

It was a snappy and sarcastic response from the German, who clearly did not agree with Reed.

Some Liverpool fans have responded to Klopp’s comments on Twitter, as shown below.

Liverpool’s performance against Fulham was disappointing, and the players will be determined to bounce back.

The defending English champions are now eighth in the Premier League table, as many as seven points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

There is a possibility that the Merseyside club could miss out on the top four this season, but there is still time for Liverpool to put together a run of positive results and clinch a Champions League place.

Moreover, Liverpool could win the Champions League this season.
