There’s a lot to be excited about at Leeds at the moment, but after the U23s’ solid performance on Friday, one many everyone is talking about is Cody Drameh.

The teenager right-back received a lot of plaudits for his performance this week, and while he’s yet to make his senior debut for Leeds, there’s already a lot to be excited about.

The youngster has previously been linked to Manchester City, and you don’t catch the eye of a team of that calibre unless you’re a special talent.

Drameh has also been compared to former Fulham teammate Ryan Sessegnon due to his ability to attack from full-back, and that’s very high praise considering Sessegnon cost Tottenham £25m.

The future looks bright for Leeds at right-back, but let’s not forget that they have an incredibly talented young left-back coming through as well.

Indeed, 21-year-old ace Leif Davis is still developing and he looks like he could be a real star. He’s got Premier League minutes under his belt, he’s previously been linked to Liverpool, while Kalvin Phillips thinks he’s headed straight to the top.

“One of the players we haven’t seen much of yet, but we will get to see is, in the future definitely, Leif Davis.” Phillips said on the Leeds That podcast (via LeedsLive).

“He’s that good of a player. If he just settled down a little bit and screwed his head on a little bit he’d be up there as one of the best left-backs, left midfielders, centre-halves we’ve got.”

Full-backs are growing to become ever-more important in the modern game, especially in an attacking sense, so having two players who can get forward from these positions coming through is incredibly exciting.

Having two dangerous attacking full-backs is what great teams are often built around, just look at what Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson have brought to Liverpool in recent years.

It’s something to think about years down the line rather than right this second, but if Leeds can build their squad around Drameh and Davis as two key men down each flank, they could have one of the best partnerships in the country.

Leeds may benefit from their development in the coming years, and with with Liverpool and City both being keen in the past, there’s reason to believe the Whites may have two elite young talents on their hands.

If these two line up on opposite flanks in the coming years at Elland Road, they could form one of the deadliest full-back pairings in the country.
