  • Snowdrop will release in 2021 and whilst there are rumours that the K-drama will premiere in June, a specific date has not been officially confirmed.

There are rumours circulating on social media that Snowdrop will premiere in June 2021, but these have not been confirmed.

We will bring you updates on the release date for Snowdrop as soon as more information is confirmed.

Snowdrop: Plot

According to the official synopsis, Snowdrop is a love story set in 1987 between ‘Im Soo Ho’ and ‘Eun Young-Cho’.

Im Soo-Ho is a Korean-German student at a prestigious university and barges into a female dorm at Hosoo Woman’s University one day covered in blood.

Eun Young-Cho, a cheerful and lovable student, helps to hide Soo-Ho and dresses his wounds from whoever was chasing him.

However, what Soo-Ho doesn’t realise is that the two have already met at a blind date – where Young-Cho had already fallen in love with him.

Snowdrop: Cast

The two leads will be played by Blackpink’s Kim Ji-soo and Something in the Rain’s Jung Hae-In.

“It is true that Jisoo is starring in the new drama tentatively titled Snowdrop,” confirmed Blackpink’s management company YG Entertainment.

This will be Jisoo’s first leading acting role in a major K-drama, although she has previously made a cameo in the KBS 2TV’s series The Producers.

GMA News Network reported on October 5th that Jisoo would be joined by Jung Hae-In as the lead actor. Hae-In is best known for playing Seo Joon-Hee in Something in the Rain, but he has also appeared in Prison Playbook, Reply 1988 and will feature in the upcoming Netflix K-drama ‘Start-Up’.
