Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are responding to Tanguy Ndombele’s latest post in Instagram yesterday.

Ndombele looks a completely different player this season and is finally fulfilling his potential under Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.

He was brought to Tottenham from Lyon for a £63 million record deal in the summer of 2019 under Mauricio Pochettino.

It’s a lot of money and that means a lot of pressure to perform, but the France midfielder is doing just that this season.

On Tuesday, he turned up to training at Hotspur Way rocking two different boots and here’s how some Lilywhites fans reacted on Instagram:

6luca_: Better than pogba

liamcsw: when ndombele turns up in black boots, the game was already over before it started

spurs_gang: You can Meg people with either so I don’t mind

carew: Always changing boots at half time

markh2014: Did anyone notice his back heel against Burnley

louisfg_: La feinte you have no weakness

What Ndombele does over the coming months is what’s going to count this season.

Tottenham are getting into the business end of their season and with a six-point deficit to claw back in the race to finish in the top four, coupled with a League Cup final with Manchester City next month, now is not the time for any Spurs player to rest on their laurels.

Mourinho’s side are also in the last 16 of the Europa League.

You can bet your mortgage that the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are going to turn up every week, but Ndombele was a tad inconsistent last season and now he has the chance to really prove that he’s arrived.
