Manchester City fans were left very impressed by West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal after Saturday’s game.

West Ham may have been beaten 2-1 by City at the weekend, but they gave a good account of themselves.

Coufal certainly impressed, with the right-back a real menace throughout.

Not only did Coufal look rock solid defensively, he also helped contribute towards West Ham’s goal.

The 28-year-old broke down the right before cutting the ball back to Jesse Lingard, with his effort eventually being turned in by Michail Antonio.

Coufal’s whole-hearted display caught the eye of City fans, who actually drew up comparisons between him and Pablo Zabaleta.

Considering how fondly remembered Zabaleta is by City fans, that is high praise indeed for the West Ham defender.

The former Slavia Prague defender just seems to be going from strength to strength and he is proving to be one of the biggest bargain buys in recent history for the Hammers.
